I NEED A PARENTS HELP. (GOTHIC CULTURE)?
ByI have been partial of the Gothic enlightenment for a whilst now, but have been stealing it from my parents. It has been removing tough and I would similar to to discuss it them which I wish to be Gothic. Here's the thing… I am VERY frightened to ask( I get butterflies in my go through only meditative about asking them). What do I do?
Just Because Your Goth DOESN'T Mean…
1.) That you have been a Satanist.
2.) That you regularly wear black.
3.) That you have been spooky with red blood and death.
4.) That you have been suicidal.
5.) That you cut yourself.

If the couple doesn't work, greatfully sort it in to your poke thing and take a look at it.

Why don't you just be yourself? Instead of focusing on being "different" and conforming and labeling yourself?

Being Goth has nothing to do with being different. It's a style sheet for teenagers who don't believe that their own personality is worth expressing. Being Goth DOES Mean
1) that you are not secure enough to let the cool kids laugh while you go to Sunday School
2) that you are not secure enough to be yourself in jeans and a Tshirt
3) that you are obsessed with your shallow image instead of your education and job preparation
4) that you are a follower, not an original thinker
5) that you are not interested in helping people and animals that have serious problems.

Just say, "I don't want to look like the other kids. I want to be an individual, and look different for once. I am experimenting with being gothic, and that doesn't mean i'm a satanist, that i'm obsessed with blood and death, or that i'm suicidal. it means i want to be my own person and i hope that you're fine with that. i am not doing this to look for attention, i'm doing it because i like it alot."

Well I guess I would be labled an "Emo" And I am a Satanist (Athesistic) I do always wear black, I love death and horror novels and death metal, I have depression so I do get sucidal and I do cut. But you know what? I'm not a bad person. I harm no one. I keep to myself. I help people that need help. I donate to causes. I do my homework. I am a good person who just is a little different from the typical black kid, that's all. And you know what? If you have a good relationship with your parents, you should be o-pen about it. Goths are some of the coolest people around. My girlfriend is Goth and she is awesome. Parents buy into a lot of the media crap so its going to be hard but you know what? Be good, stay out of trouble, do your dam homework and your parents will love you no matter what. Even though I'm not Goth my parents think I'm goth, but they still love very much. Goth is a wonderful culture,
I think your clothes are cool and all that. There are many styles of goth not just romantic. I am very fond of the cyber goth thing. But yeah keep doing you man, good luck.!!!
